  1. University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Nursing

    • The Amherst School of Nursing was founded in 1953 as the first baccalaureate nursing program in public education in Massachusetts. The school offers four year bachelor's degrees in nursing, a Master's of Nursing program, a Doctorate of Nursing and a Ph.D. of Nursing program that was established in 1994. The faculty is known for its nursing research, advanced clinical skills, and innovative approaches to teaching.     Boston College of Nursing and Health Sciences

    • The University of Massachusetts Boston College of Nursing and Health Services offers a variety of nursing programs including undergraduate and graduate degrees. Undergraduate programs include a Bachelor of Science through a traditional, accelerated or online nursing program. Graduate programs include a Master's of Nursing and a Ph.D. program in nursing with emphasis options of health care policy or population health.     Simmons College

    • Simmons College in Boston began educating nurses in 1902 and established an official nursing program in 1934. Simmons College offers two undergraduate programs including a registered nurse certification and a Bachelor of Science degree. According to the school's website, the Simmons College undergraduate nursing program is "dedicated to preparing graduates to meet the diverse health needs of clients in a variety of settings, as well as to coordinate health services, deliver humanistic nursing care, and engage in health assessment and health maintenance." Students at Simmons College also have the opportunity to practice nursing internationally with school and student-organized trips.

    Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

    • The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services (MCPHS) was established in 1823 by 14 Boston pharmacists who adopted the Constitution of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. In 1999 the school recognized four separate schools within the college, with the nursing program being part of the School of Health Sciences. MCPHS has campuses in Boston, Worcester and Manchester. The Boston campus offers a Bachelor's of Science in nursing, while the Worcester and Manchester campuses offer post-baccalaureate Bachelor's of Science in nursing and the Worcester campus offers a Master's of Nursing program.
