Nursing Colleges in Wisconsin

Nurses are in high demand due to the aging American population. Residents of Wisconsin don't need to travel across the U.S. or to a foreign country to find a suitable nursing school. From Milwaukee to Marathon County, the Badger State offers more than 20 different nursing programs at accredited colleges and universities. Your biggest decision will be narrowing your list of potential schools.
  1. Milwaukee

    • Milwaukee County offers nursing programs at eight different institutions, including Alverno College; Cardinal Stritch University; Columbia College of Nursing; Marquette University; Milwaukee Area Technical College; and Milwaukee School of Engineering, School of Nursing. The University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, the state's largest nursing program, is one of three nursing schools in Wisconsin to offer a full range of degree types (BSN, MSN, PhD and DNP) and is has more than 1,500 undergraduate and graduate students as of January 2011.

    East

    • Eastern Wisconsin has six different nursing programs across Brown, Fon Du Lac, Manitowoc and Winnebago counties. • The central and western regions of Wisconsin combine to offer prospective students with five programs across five towns and cities: Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire; the Francisan Skemp Healthcare School of Anesthesia in La Crosse; Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids; Nicolet College in Rhinelander; and North Central Technical College in Wausau.
