Tufts University Dental School is located in Boston, Massachusetts and prides itself on its academic standards. The four-year dental program is considered a post-graduate degree program and applicants must have finished their undergraduate degree programs before they can be accepted. As well as the standard DMD program, Tufts University also offers an international dentistry program. The school teaches general dentistry as well as oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry.

Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine offers a standard four-year dental school program for traditional students as well as an accelerated two-year program for prospective students who have already been trained as dentists in another country. Boston University also offers access to a program known as the “Delta Dental Scholars Program,” in which half of the student's dental school tuition will be paid by the program administrators in return for the student rendering dental services to members of Boston’s poorest communities.

The Harvard University School of Dental Medicine selects exactly 35 applicants per year to enter their program. The Harvard school of dentistry encourages their students to participate in local and international community service groups as well as to organize and participate in seminars, working groups and informal discussions to increase their knowledge.
