Wildlife Management Schools in Tennessee

An education in wildlife management can prepare you for a career in a multitude of related fields, including managing wildlife populations and natural resources conservation. There are three schools in the state of Tennessee that offer wildlife management programs resulting in bachelor's degrees; two of these schools also offer a minor in wildlife management.
  1. Lincoln Memorial University

    • Lincoln Memorial University offers a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife and fisheries management, as well as the option to minor in the program for students not majoring in biology or environmental science. The wildlife and fisheries management major consists of 20 classes in the field of study, in addition to any required general education credits; the minor requires five classes. The school is located in Harrogate, Tennessee, and enrolls nearly 4,000 students.

    Tennessee Tech University

    • Tennessee Tech University offers a wildlife and fisheries science program that leads to a Bachelor of Science degree. The major consists of 19 classes within the field of study, in addition to general education credits. Tennessee Tech is located in Cookeville, which is roughly an hour from either Nashville or Knoxville. The school enrolls approximately 11,000 students.

    University of Tennessee, College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources

    • University of Tennessee's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources offers a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife and fisheries science, as well as the option to minor in the program. The bachelor's degree requires 125 credits to complete, including classes within the major and general education credits; the minor requires 16 credits. The college is located in Knoxville and has a student body of roughly 27,000 students.
