How to Make a Title Page for a Paper

When writing a paper, a title page is needed to inform the professor about the content. The title page is a separate sheet of paper that goes on the top of your work. A title page should include your name, date, the name of the class, and the title of your paper. Creating an attractive title page may give you extra points on your grade.

Open up Word or any document writing software you have on your computer. Create a new document. You will need a blank document to create a title page.

Set your font type and size. "Times New Roman" is a standard font type that is used in many papers and documents.

    • 3

Type the title of your paper on the top of the page, in the middle. The title of your paper can be the subject of your paper or something appropriate that you have come up with.

Move your text cursor to the bottom of the page and type your full name in one line, the course name and code under your name, the full date under the course name, and your professor's name on the last line. Your full name, course name/ code, date, and professor's name goes in the center (at the bottom) of the page. Education Heaven states that a student identification number can be included, under your name, if you have one. You will use the same font type and size you have used for the title of the paper.
