Ohio State University, ranked No.18 in the "U.S. News & World Report" list of America's Best Colleges in 2010, is in Columbus, Ohio, and boasts one of the country's biggest student bodies. The total enrollment of OSU is more than 63,200, which includes 49,195 undergraduates. Students choose from 18 colleges, 160 majors and 240 post-graduate programs. The medical and research centers and the cancer hospital are nationally renowned. Most incoming freshmen in 2009 graduated in the top 10 percent of their high school class.

Ohio Northern University is a private university located in the small town of Ada, Ohio, and is affiliated with the United Methodist church. Its 3,666 students choose from five colleges: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, Pharmacy and Law; and represent 43 states and 13 countries. Ohio Wesleyan University, located in Delaware, Ohio, is a small school of 1,850 students, half of whom are Ohio residents. Students attend classes with a 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio, and all faculty hold a doctorate or terminal degree in their field. Most incoming OWU students were in the top 30 percent of their class in high school and had a SAT score in the 1090-1340 range. Student tuition for the 2009-2010 school year was $35,040, and room and board cost $8,808. Ninety-five percent of students get financial assistance.
The OWU Battling Bishops compete in the NCAA Division III North Coast Athletic Conference, touted as one of the most difficult in Division III swimming. The Bishops plan to move into a new swimming and diving facility, the Phil & Nancy Meek Aquatics and Recreation Center, in the fall of 2010.
