Founded in 1870 in association with the Universalist Church, the University of Akron is now the fourth largest public university in the state of Ohio. The university offers bachelor's, masters, and doctoral degrees, and also offers certificate programs. The university offers 300 undergraduate majors and over 100 graduate programs.
