Weekend LVN Programs

Licensed vocational nurses (LVNs), sometimes referred to as licensed practical nurses (LPNs), are responsible for taking care of people who are sick, disabled, convalescent, or injured under the direction of registered nurses and physicians.

Weekend LVN programs are available that offer students the opportunity to complete the clinical portion of the program on the weekends while completing the didactic portion in the evenings or online to prevent interference with a student’s busy schedule.
  1. Southwest Virginia Community College

    • Southwest Virginia Community College has an LPN to RN program that is designed to be completed on a part-time schedule and is delivered in an evening/weekend format. Students earn an associate of applied science degree upon completion.

Students have the option of completing the general education courses online or on-campus and the nursing and clinicals are taken in the evening and on the weekends.
