Those organizations receiving grant funding through this program overseen by the National Science Foundation will conduct research concerning the fundamental physics of plasmas. Theoretical as well clinical research is funded by this program which includes cross discipline involvement with the mathematical sciences, geophysical and engineering disciplines. The grant program is open for application by all organizations and independent research groups.
This scholarship program offered in partnership with the National Science Foundation has been created to encourage students in University mathematics, science, and other engineering programs to become teachers (K-12) in those fields. A new aspect of the program allows students seeking a Master's degree in these related to fields to apply as well as providing financial supplements to those educators whose record of teaching has been shown to be exemplary.
