Trinity University developed a grant program in the year 2008 for students in scientific and mathematical fields. The National Science Foundation provided the initial $600,000 to the university to establish the program, which awards $4,600 per academic year to deserving students to help offset the costs of schooling. The Financial Aid for Science and Technology (FAST) grant program is available only to students of Trinity University, and the application forms can be found at Trinity University's Financial Aid Office.
For those students who are interested specifically in crop sciences, Purdue University in Indiana has a scholarship program to help them pay for college. The Bruce E. Hardy Scholarship is available to all crop science majors, and it requires that applicants have a 3.0 grade point average or higher to apply. Students will also have to submit an original essay, whose question is detailed in the application form. The Metropolitan State College of Denver also has numerous grants and scholarships in place for helping many students majoring in scientific fields. For students who have declared aerospace science majors, there are a number of programs they can apply for. One of these is the Jay Glenn Brown Endowed Scholarship Award. This award is worth $700 per year, and the only prerequisite is that students must be attending the Metropolitan State College of Denver, and be a declared aerospace science major. Interested student's should apply at the university's financial aid office.
