The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) offers three different grants that focus on young Asian American journalists. The first one is the Internship Grant for Broadcast for a qualified internship student. A grant of approximately $2,000 covers the grantee's expenses while working as an intern for a radio or television broadcast company. The AAJA and Chicago/Tribune Print and New Media Internship Grants also offer a few grants for students while working for a news organization. Each grantee receives about $1,500 to cover the expenses for the internship. The last grant is the Stanford Chen Internship Grant, which is awarded to three deserving students that intern for a broadcasting station or a participating newspaper company.
