Getty Images provides $5,000 grants to photojournalism students to complete documentary photography projects. Judges select grant recipients twice each year. Applicants must be under the age of 30 and be current students in a photojournalism program at an accredited college or university. Students who have graduated from an accredited photojournalism program within the last year are also eligible to apply. Applicants must submit a written project proposal and samples that demonstrate their photography skills.

The Alexia Foundation for World Peace awards grants to photographers each year to produce photo projects that promote cultural understanding and world peace, as well as to study photojournalism at Syracuse University in London, England. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited college or university in the United States or be enrolled in a degree program if outside the United States. Grant amounts range from $2,100 to $16,300. Applicants must submit a photo story project proposal and examples of their photography.
