Women in Photography, or WIPNYC, is an Internet-based outlet for women photographers who wish to show their work in a non-traditional setting and to a global community. Each year, WIPNYC offers grants to female photographers over 18 years of age who are not currently enrolled in a degree program of any kind. Only on line submissions are accepted. Applicants must submit five images, no more, no less. There is a submission fee. (Reference 1)

Women in Photography International, a resource for photographers, photography educators and students and gallery owners worldwide, regularly launches competitions that offer prizes or a monetary equivalent. (Ref 2)

The Aaron Siskind Foundation offers fellowship grants of up to $7,000 each for artists involved in still photography and photo-based art. Awards are based on artistic excellence, the artist's previous accomplishments and prospects for continued achievement in any aspect of the medium. Any United States citizen who lives primarily in the USA or is a Legal Permanent Resident of the USA is eligible. However, students enrolled in college degree programs are not eligible. (Ref 3)
