With separate scholarship competitions for elementary, middle and secondary school teachers, BrainTrack disperses awards biannually. Teaching students who have completed at least one semester towards degree requirements in the education major are eligible. Winners will receive $1,000, while runners up will get $500, as determined by a committee of judges looking for the most creative and thoughtful essay submissions.

A one-time award of $500 is available to teachers and/or students pursuing degrees in education, courtesy of StraightForward Media. The money is awarded directly to the student or teacher applying (rather than to the college or university), so that it can be used towards whatever expenses the applicant sees fit to apply it to. Four awards are given each year to the most remarkable applicants. The online application includes multiple essay questions.

The L. Gordon Bittle Memorial Scholarship for the Student California Teachers Association is dispersed by the Student California Teacher's Association (SCTA). Three awards of $3,000 are available annually for aspiring young teachers, both undergraduate and graduate students, who are members of the STCA. Applicants are required to have at least a 3.5 GPA, strong community service records, and letters of recommendation, in addition to being an education major (or planning to pursue a career in education). Part-time students are not eligible for these awards.
