Scholarships for Elementary Education Majors

Many students who enjoy working with children and want to make a difference in their communities go on to pursue college degrees in elementary education. It can be difficult for some students to pay for that education. Fortunately, there are a number of organizations that offer scholarships to aspiring elementary education teachers.
  1. Bright Futures Scholarships

    • Bright Horizons Family Solutions offers scholarship funds to students studying early childhood education. The Bright Futures Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,500 for students pursuing an associate's degree and $2,500 for students enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program. Students must be enrolled full-time in order to be eligible and must be attending a properly accredited institution within the United States. Applicants are judged on the basis of not only their academic record, but also their potential to teach young children. The annual deadline for application is June 15.
