One scholarship that is available not only to veterinarians but to anyone pursuing a career that will allow them to help pets is the Campbell Family Scholarship. There are a number of these scholarships available for undergraduate students, and the amounts may cover up to four years of full tuition. Those who are applying should download the application form from the website and make sure that they answer all questions fully before turning it in. Scholarships are awarded around July 31st.

There are also scholarships and grants available for veterinary students through the American Kennel Club. This is the organization that's in charge of keeping the books on purebred dogs, and they view supporting future veterinarians as a worthy and necessary cause. Scholarships in the amounts of $15,000 and $5,000 are given out each year to applicants based on scholarly merit and their decisions to work with purebred dogs. This scholarship is given out through the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges, and is available for current or former New Jersey residents who are enrolled in post-secondary veterinary curriculums.
