The Roybal Foundation provides scholarships to Hispanic students who are pursuing degrees in public health. To be eligible, students must be in their junior or senior year of a baccalaureate program or pursuing a graduate degree, have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be interested in pursuing a career of service in public health with a specific focus on underserved Latino and Hispanic populations. Financial need is also considered. Undergraduate students receive $2,500, while graduate students receive $5,000.

The National Institutes of Health Undergraduate Scholarship Program provides renewable scholarships of up to $20,000 per year to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are pursuing degrees in public health or social science health-related fields. Disadvantaged status is determined by family size and gross adjusted income. Applicants also must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and commit to a 10-week summer internship and a one-year period of employment with the NIH upon graduation.

Johns Hopkins University offers the Global Health Scholarship program to students enrolled at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Incoming master's degree students are automatically considered for the award. The scholarship covers full tuition for the 11-month Master of Public Health (MPH) program and for one year of a two-year Master of Health Science (MHS) or Master of Science (MS) program.

The National Environmental Health Association and the American Academy of Sanitarians offers scholarship awards of $1,000 to graduate students who are pursuing degrees in public health. Undergraduate scholarships are available to students who are enrolled in an Environmental Health Accreditation Council (EHAC) or an NEHA Institutional/Educational or Sustaining Member school. The scholarship must be used toward the tuition and fees of the recipient's junior or senior year of college. Applicants are considered on the basis of academic merit and faculty recommendations, and they also must be recommended by a member of the NEHA.
