Chiropractor Scholarships

There are a variety of scholarships available to students pursuing a career as a chiropractor. The most common sources of chiropractor scholarships available at the national level are professional organizations of chiropractors. Many chiropractor associations require that an applicant be a student member of their organization before they are eligible for scholarship support.
  1. SACA Scholarship Program

    • The American Chiropractic Association offers scholarships to chiropractic students through its Student ACA Scholarship Program. This program awards two $2,500 scholarships and five $1,000 scholarships every year. To be eligible, a student must be a member of the SACA, must be a full-time student, must be at least a sophomore, and must have a grade point average of at least 2.75 out of 4.0. Applicants must also write a 1000- to 1500-word essay about the state of chiropractic practice and how they foresee their role as a licensed chiropractor. The annual deadline for application is August 27. Interested students should visit the ACA website to download an electronic application.

    FSCO Scholarships

    • The Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations provides scholarship support to chiropractic students who are also single mothers through the Sylva Ashworth Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded in the amount of $1,000. To be eligible, a student must be a single mother, and must also submit financial aid forms to their college. The scholarship will be awarded to the best 1,000-word essay. The annual deadline for application is May 1.

    SICA Scholarships

    • The International Chiropractors Association provides two scholarships for chiropractic students who are members of the Student ICA. The ICA Auxiliary Scholarship is awarded in varying amounts each year to a sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduate chiropractic student. In addition to submitting a completed application, a student must also write a short essay explaining his personal interest in chiropractic study. The application deadline varies by year.

      SICA members are also eligible for the Arnold Schwarzenegger Chiropractic Scholarship Program. Applicants for this scholarship are required to compose an essay, not to exceed 1,250 words, on the human spine. These scholarships are awarded in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $2,500. Interested students should visit the ICA website to apply for a scholarship or to become a member of the SICA.
