Ball State University's Department of Theatre and Dance sponsors several scholarship awards for incoming and currently enrolled dance majors. Departmental scholarship awards of $4,000 are available to incoming freshmen and recently declared dance majors who demonstrate a significant level of talent and potential. Half-tuition Presidential Scholarships are offered to dance majors who demonstrate both talent and academic excellence. Students are required to audition to be eligible for the awards. Talent scholarships of $500 to $2,000 are available to outstanding upper-level students.

Minnesota State University, Mankato's dance department offers talent grants to incoming freshmen who plan to major in dance and scholarships to currently enrolled dance majors. To be eligible, all applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be enrolled in a minimum of twelve hours of coursework. Awards are granted through an audition process and recipients must participate in at least three departmental productions each year to maintain their eligibility. The amount and number of awards granted annually varies.

The Princess Grace Foundation provides education grants and scholarships for dance students who are enrolled in at least their second year of a dance program. Scholarships are available for students enrolled in non-profit dance schools and fellowship grants are available to allow dancers to pursue career development with non-profit dance companies.
