College Scholarships for Students With a 2.0 GPA

The eligibility requirements for college scholarships can be intimidating. But while some scholarships aim at high achievers, other awards are available based on extracurricular activities, financial need and group affiliation. A high school student with a GPA of 2.0 or above has many scholarship opportunities.
  1. Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

    • Any college-bound high school senior with at least one parent who served in the Marines or as a Navy corpsman with the Marines is eligible to apply for a Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation award (mcsf.org). Submit an application with a copy of your parent's certificate of service, your school transcripts, your parents' latest income tax return and your Student Aid Report. The number and size of scholarships varies each year, based on fundraising.

    Sweet Diggity Dawg Zinch Scholarship

    • Any high school senior with a 2.0 GPA is eligible to apply for the Sweet Diggity Dawg Zinch Scholarship. Complete a profile on Zinch.com, a college scholarship and recruitment site. The Web site selects 64 semifinalists, and the student with the best Zinch profile wins a $20,000 award.

    American Indian Education Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

    • You and a parent must be American Indians or Alaska natives enrolled in a tribe for you to be eligible for the American Indian Education Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships (aiefprograms.org). Submit an application with proof of tribal enrollment, ACT scores and school transcripts. Selected students will receive an annual award of up to $2,000.

    Cappex 'I Don't Want to Pay for College' Scholarship

    • You need a high school diploma or GED to be eligible for the Cappex "I Don't Want to Pay for College" Scholarship. To apply, you will need to complete a profile on Cappex.com, a college search site, then click "Apply Now" next to this award under the "Scholarship" tab. One student will receive an award of $1,000.
