The Ohio Nurses Foundation sponsors nine scholarship programs for students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited nursing degree program in-state. Scholarships are available to students working toward their first degree, returning students, minority students and registered nurses who wish to further their education in the field. Scholarship awards and eligibility criteria vary for each award.

The Christy Jones Nursing Scholarship is open to Ohio students enrolled in accredited nursing programs at the associate and bachelor's levels. Students must be enrolled in at least their second year of study and have not yet earned licensure as a registered nurse. While academic merit is considered, scholarships are granted primarily based on a student's personal essay outlining her reasons for entering nursing.

The Michelle M. Vasenda Nursing Scholarship is open to nursing students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited degree program. To be eligible for the $1,000 award, applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate strong leadership skills, participation in community service and extracurricular activities, and a commitment to a career in nursing.

The Nurse Education Assistance Loan Program provides scholarships of $1,500 to qualifying students attending accredited nursing programs in Ohio. Awards are granted to students who are enrolled at least half-time in a program leading to professional nursing licensure and remain in good academic standing. In exchange, recipients must agree to work as a nurse in-state for a minimum of five years after graduation.

The Akron General Medical Center's Service League Nursing Scholarship is for students enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program in Ohio. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA to apply, and scholarship amounts vary based on individual need.
