The Illinois Student Assistance Commission sponsors the nurse educator scholarship program for nursing education students enrolled at eligible Illinois colleges and universities. The program provides full tuition and fees for graduate nursing students who plan to become nurse educators in Illinois. The program also provides a living expense stipend of up to $10,000 to qualified recipients. The scholarship is available to Illinois residents who are enrolled at least half time and meet minimum academic requirements.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences offers the Arkansas nurse educator scholarship for master's and doctoral level nursing students who plan to become nurse educators in Arkansas. Students enrolled in the master's program full-time may receive up to $8,000 per year for two years of study. Doctoral students are eligible to receive up to $50,000 if they are enrolled full time. All recipients must agree to teach in an accredited Arkansas nursing program for one year for every year the the scholarship is received.

The Maryland Higher Education Commission sponsors the graduate nursing faculty scholarship for graduate nursing students who plan to teach in Maryland. The program provides scholarship support of up to $13,000 per academic year to qualifying Maryland residents. In addition, the program provides a living expenses grant of up to $25,000 per year to selected students who have a demonstrated financial need. As a condition of the award, recipients must agree to work full time as a nurse educator in Maryland for two years for every year funding is received.

The Medical College of Georgia School of Nursing offers several endowed scholarships for graduate nursing students interested in a career in nursing education. The Ruth Vande Velde Mullins Scholarship is a $1,000 award for students who have a minimum 2.8 GPA and are planning to become nurse educators. The Marilyn Chew Lunn Memorial Nursing Leadership Award is a $1,500 scholarship designated for students who demonstrate outstanding leadership in nursing education. The Dr. Lennette O. Burrell Nurse Educator Scholarship is a $400 award for students interested in medical or surgical nursing education.

The American Academy of Nursing sponsors a predoctoral scholarship program aimed at building academic geriatric nursing capacity. The scholarships help doctoral students who plan careers as geriatric nursing educators. The program is open to registered nurses who demonstrate a potential for significant contribution to academic research in geriatric nursing.
