Postgraduate Masters Scholarships

Pursuing a degree at the postgraduate level can be very expensive. The fact that the majority of scholarships are offered to undergraduates only compounds the problem. Luckily, a number of scholarships can help students graduate with a master's degree. Many of these are offered to students in particular areas of study by associated institutions and organizations. In addition, a graduate student can often find funding through scholarships and assistantships offered by the institution he is attending.
  1. AfterCollege/AACN Scholarship

    • The American Association of Colleges of Nursing, together with the website AfterCollege.com, offer scholarship assistance to nursing students pursuing a master's degree. These scholarships are in the amount of $2,500. To be eligible, a student must already be enrolled in a nursing program at an AACN member school and carrying a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. There are four annual application deadlines: Jan. 31, April 30, July 31 and Oct. 31. Eight awards are given annually. Interested students should visit the AfterCollege website for more information.
