The Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship is for financially needy college students who are no older than 25 years by the deadline for submitting the application. It awards $1,500 to full-time undergraduate students with at least a C+ grade average and $2,500 to full-time or part-time graduate students with at least a B grade average. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, members of the NAACP and enrolled in an accredited U.S. university or college.
The Earl G. Graves Scholarship awards $5,000 to successful applicants pursuing a business degree or major. Eligible students include junior and senior undergraduates and graduate students in a doctoral or master's program. Students must attend full time in an accredited university or college and fall in the top 20 percent of their class. Application requirements do not include financial need.
The Hubertus W. V. Wellems Scholarship is only available to financially needy male U.S. citizens pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in chemistry, engineering, mathematical sciences or physics at an accredited university or college. Undergraduates must be full-time students with at least a C+ grade average, and graduate students may be either full time or part time with at least a B grade average. High school seniors may apply, and although not mandatory, active NAACP membership is preferable.
The Lillian & Samuel Sutton Education Scholarship awards $1,000 to full-time undergraduate students and $2,000 to full-time or part-time graduate students majoring in education at an accredited university or college. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and preferably members of the NAACP. Undergraduates must have a minimum C+ grade average and graduate students at least a B grade average. Students may compete with other applicants and recipients to have the scholarship renewed at the end of its term by demonstrating they meet the same requirements that applied during the initial application.
The Roy Wilkins Scholarship awards $1,000 to U.S. citizens entering their freshman year at an accredited U.S. college as a full-time student. Applicants must carry at least a C+ grade average and should ideally be an active member of the NAACP. The scholarship is not renewable once received.
