The Science, Mathematics, and Research Transformation (SMART) scholarship program is open to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in mathematics. The program pays for all tuition and fees for recipients, provides a cash award up to $41,000, and reimburses students for costs related to books and medical expenses. There is a required paid summer internship, and the program guarantees recipients job placement at the completion of their studies.

The Siemens Foundation offers an annual competition for high school students who demonstrate excellence in mathematics. Intel offers scholarships ranging from $7,500 to $100,000 to high school students who demonstrate achievement in mathematics research. As part of the application process, students are required to submit a research proposal, and their projects must be approved before they can begin. The Department of Homeland Security scholarship program is open to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a mathematics degree. Students are awarded a $9,000 scholarship as well as an additional $5,000 during the required ten-week summer internship program. The Math for America Fellowship program is a three-year fellowship program that is available to graduate students who plan to pursue a teaching career in mathematics.
