The Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional Malaysia is a loan to students to assisting them in gaining entry into institutions of higher learning. Initiated in 1999, this loan targets students who have been admitted to Malaysian universities but are unable to afford the fees and other costs. A thorough appraisal of the applicant's family's financial background takes place before a decision is made on whether to give the loan. Monthly repayment installments will include administration cost of 4 per cent based on the reducing balance. The repayments start six months after graduation or in the event of securing a career, whichever is first. The application is made through Bahagian Hal Ehwal Pelajar (HEP) or the student affairs department in the respective IPT (institution of higher learning.
This scholarship aims at enabling students who have been admitted to King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia to pay for education there. It provides full financial support to the students for the duration of their study. This includes full tuition and a living stipend. After a student finishes undergraduate studies and wants to enter a master's degree program in the same university, a full scholarship is available.

This scholarship aims at helping students who are good in sports continue with sports activities after entering higher-education institutions. It includes living expenses and allowances for training and for buying equipment. The scholarship is given by the government of Malaysia through the Ministry of Higher Education.
The government of Malaysia gives scholarships to Malaysian students to study in Taiwan. Three scholarships are given every year under the Huaya Enrichment Scholarship program.
