Telecommunication Engineering Scholarships

Telecommunication engineers are trained in the design and development of software and hardware used for communications, such as wireless telephones and satellites. Students interested in this field can find a variety of scholarships to help fund their studies.
  1. Sarah Montgomery Marple Cantrell Memorial Scholarship for Women in Engineering

The award provides $1,000 per semester for up to four years for needy freshman pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering fields, including electrical, computer, software and telecommunications engineering. Women are given preference “as long as females are underrepresented in engineering fields,” according to a University of Texas at Dallas website. To receive the scholarship, students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
