Scholarships for Graduate Architecture Programs

A variety of educational grants and scholarships are available to students pursuing a graduate degree in architecture. Graduate-level architecture scholarships are available from a variety of different sources, including national architectural organizations, as well as state and local associations of architects. Some scholarships for architectural study at the graduate level require that a recipient be a resident of a certain geographical area in order to be eligible.
  1. AIA Corporate Architects and Facility Management Scholarship

    • The American Institute of Architects provides financial assistance to students pursuing a graduate degree in architecture through the Corporate Architects and Facility Management Scholarship Program. Corporate Architects and Facility Management Scholarships are awarded in amounts ranging form $1,000 to $2,500. To be eligible, a student must be pursuing a master's degree in architecture, must be in his fourth or fifth year and must submit an essay of approximately 500 words on a topic that changes annually.     Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architectural Scholarship

    • Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architects and The Oregon Community Foundation have partnered to offer the Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architectural Scholarship to graduate students in architecture. The Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architectural Scholarship is awarded annually in the amount of $10,000. In addition, a recipient is granted a summer internship opportunity with ZGF in either Washington D.C., New York, Seattle, Portland, or Los Angeles. To be eligible, a student must be a citizen of the United States and must be enrolled in a program of study leading to a master's degree in architecture. The annual deadline for application is May 1.     ALNNJ Architects League Scholastic Achievement Award

    • The Architects League of Northern New Jersey provides scholarship assistance to graduate students in architecture who are residents of northern New Jersey. The Architects League Scholastic Achievement Award is awarded in amounts of up to $10,000. To be eligible, a student must be pursuing a degree in architecture, and must be a resident of Bergen County, Passaic County, Hudson County, Sussex County or specific towns in Essex County or Morris County.
