The organization Nurses Educational Funds provides educational grants of varying amounts for both master's and Ph.D. students. To be eligible for NEF Scholarships, a student must provide proof of U.S. citizenship, as well as proof of membership in the National Professional Nursing Association. Both part-time and full-time graduate students are eligible to receive funding through NEF. Students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours in their current program, and must have a grade point average of at least 3.6 on a scale of 4.0. To apply for an NEF scholarship, a student must submit a one-time $20 application fee via Paypal. March 1 is the annual deadline for application. Visit the NEF website for more information.

The March of Dimes offers annual scholarships to students pursuing a graduate degree in maternal-child nursing. March of Dimes scholarships are valued at $5,000 each, and are nonrenewable. A student may only receive one March of Dimes graduate nursing scholarship throughout the course of her schooling. To be eligible, a student must be a registered nurse, must be enrolled in a master's or Ph.D. program in maternal-child nursing, and must be a member of one of the following organizations: the American College of Nurse-Midwives, the National Association of Neonatal Nurses or the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses. Applications are due by January 16 each year.

The website Exceptional Nurse makes several scholarships available to graduate nursing students with physical or other disabilities. The Peter Gili Scholarship Award is awarded in the amount of $500 to a nursing student with a physical disability. The Jill Laura Creedon Scholarship Award is given annually in the amount of $500 to a nursing student with a disability or other medical challenge. The Anna May Rolando Scholarship Award is awarded annually in the amount of $500 to a graduate student who has a disability and has expressed an interest in working with patients with disabilities. Students must be attending school full time to be eligible for Exceptional Nurse scholarships. The annual deadline for application is June 1.
