Washington State GED Programs

General Education Development, or GED as it is more commonly known, is an official test designed to measure an adult's level of knowledge in science, social studies, reading, writing and mathematics. Upon successful passing of the exam, your level of knowledge will be considered equivalent to individuals who hold a high school diploma. In Washington over 18,000 residents earn GED credentials annually, according to the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges. There are several options to prepare you for this test.

For entrance into the GED preparation program, you are required to take a reading and math evaluation and you must be at least 19 years of age. Course and registration fees are also applicable.
