Sally Beauty Supply Scholarships

• In partnership with the Professional Beauty Association and National Cosmetology Association, Sally Beauty Supply Company offers two types of scholarships for high school graduates entering the field of cosmetology and to Association members who are continuing their cosmetology studies. Seven high school graduates will be awarded $1,000 scholarships, and six Association members will be awarded $500 scholarships. Applications are available online. November 15, 2010 is the deadline for applying.

Farouk Systems USA/AACS Cosmetology Scholarship

• This beauty school scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to six students in attendance at American Association of Cosmetology Schools member schools. The scholarship is based on financial need. Applications and further information is available online at the AACS web site. August 31, 2010 is the deadline for applying.

The Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship Foundation

• This beauty school scholarship is available to students currently enrolled in a cosmetology program. Applications are accepted from January 1 through June 1 of each year. A one-page essay and letter of recommendation must be filed along with the application. Students graduating between January 1 and August 31 are ineligible. Applications are available online at the Foundation's web site.

AHBAI Fred Luster, Sr. Education Foundation Scholarship

• This beauty school scholarship, in amounts of $250 and $500, is available to students currently enrolled in a cosmetology program. Eligibility requirements include a minimum average of 85%, attendance of 85% and a minimum of 300 program completion hours. Two letters of recommendation and a school transcript must accompany the application. Applications are available online at the Institute's web site. The deadline for filing is November 30, 2010.

OPI Scholarship Program Through the Schaeffer Family Foundation

• This monthly beauty school scholarship awards $500 to a student enrolled or in the process of enrolling in an OPI Preferred Cosmetology School. Applications are available online. A 1-2 page personal essay must accompany the application. The application deadline is the last day of each month.
