The CAD certification program at Berkeley College is an 11 week course, covering all the features of the 2010 AutoCAD program, and 2D AutoCAD commands. Students must complete the course requirements while achieving a grade of C or better to receive CAD certification. To be considered for admission into the Berkeley CAD program, an applicant must have a high school diploma and some drafting experience.

The CAD certification from CCBC has many components. Students are introduced to the computer assisted design drafting and different types of CAD applications. They are shown how to customize the Auto CAD program, and CAD management techniques. The certification requirements must be completed with an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher. Upon completion of the CAD certificate program, students should be prepared to work in the computer assisted drafting field. The certification program can also be used for professionals already working in the field to enhance their skills.

The CAD certification program at Camden County College is designed to train students to properly use CAD software programs and to learn the latest industry practices. The program can also be used to study CAD advanced program features. Students are taught how to use CAD in presentations and they are prepared to present a working knowledge of the software. Upon completion of the certification program students should be prepared for entry to mid-level employment in the industry of computer assisted drafting and design.
