The accelerated teacher certification program at Georgian Court University's Woodbrige campus offers students with a bachelor degree a quick track to a New Jersey teacher certification. The program takes about nine months. Students complete 39 credit hours that include two 10-week semesters and 15 weeks of student teaching. Students take classes at the campus four days a week and spend a fifth day applying their coursework in a school classroom. They can earn a dual certification in education and special education for one of three levels: kindergarten through fifth grade, kindergarten through eighth grade, or grades 9 through 12.

For those who already have bachelors degree, the online accelerated program for teachers at Saint Joseph's University allows students to earn a Pennsylvania teaching certification in as few as three semesters. Students also can earn a masters degree in secondary education with a specialize in either math, English, social studies or science. The teaching certification is for grades 7 through 12. The program features classes that work around practically any employment schedule and coursework such as projects and papers that students submitt exclusively online. The program does require students to move away from online coursework for one semester of student teaching.

Students enrolled in the teacher certification program at Houston Community College finish the program in as little as 18 months. To finish the program, however, they must complete a one-year internship as a paid teacher. Students spend two semesters in coursework and pedagogy training followed by an exam for the Texas teaching certificate. Students can choose certification in one of 12 areas that include physical education, life sciences, English and physical science. They must already have a bachelor's degree, and can begin their studies in the fall or spring semester.
