This program begins every June and throughout its duration students are taught through theoretical and practical coursework. The curriculum for this program includes Principles of Pharmacology, Issues in Aging, Health Assessment, Patient Centered Care, Public Health Nursing, Nursing for Child Health and Nursing the Childbearing Family. Applicants must have completed several prerequisite courses including Human/Animal Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Human Growth and Development, and Statistics and Nutrition. Upon graduating from this program, students are able to take the (National Council Licensure Examination -- Registered Nurse) NCLEX-RN examination. The Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing offers a 12-month full-time accelerated BSN degree program. Students enrolled in this program cannot work outside of school because of the mandatory 50 to 60 hours students spend in classrooms and simulation labs per week. This program consists of 58 credit hours. Courses include Nursing Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Nursing Management of Adult Health Care, Women's Health Nursing, and Pediatric Nursing. To graduate, students are required to conduct 600 practicum contact hours. Students must have a bachelor's degree and complete the mandatory prerequisite courses (24 credit hours). These courses include: Nutrition, Statistics, Anatomy/Physiology I & II with Lab, General Psychology, Microbiology (with lab) and Human Growth & Development. Applicants must have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. As of 2010, the tuition for this program for both resident and non-resident students is $34,528.00; financial aid and scholarships are available.

Marymount University School of Health Professionals offers an accelerated BSN degree program for those who have a non-nursing bachelor's degree. This four-semester program includes the following courses: Health Assessment, Theoretical Foundations of Professional Nursing, Pharmacology, Ethical Theory, Pathophysiology, Illness Management in Children and Adolescents and Illness Management in Adults I & II. Applicants within this program must have an undergraduate GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale and have completed the required course prerequisites. The college offers a list of all courses that must be completed prior to being admitted into the accelerated BSN program. As of 2010, the tuition for residents and non-residents is $750 per credit hour.
