Instructions

    • 1

Go to the American Council on Education's web page. Scroll under the "Programs & Services" tab and click "GED Testing Service." Click on the hyperlink labeled "Locate Testing Center" located under the section titled "GED Test Takers."

    • 2

Type in your zip code into the box and click "search." A page will pop up that lists all the testing centers near where you live including the names, addresses and phone numbers.

    • 3

Call the testing center where you took your test and request a transcript of your GED test scores. Give them the requested information so they can find your test scores, and provide your phone number so they can call you when they've finished printing a copy of the transcript.

    • 4

Go to the testing center to pick up the copy of your GED test scores transcript either after they call you and let you know it's ready for pickup or after a set number of days that they disclose to you.

    • 5

If you are a member of the military, a prisoner or if you took the GED test outside the United States, complete and send out a transcript request form as provided by the GED Testing Service to the remote testing center where you took the test. Remember to include money to cover the fee for requesting the transcripts.
