Whether your plans include attending college or immediately joining the workforce, GED test results are necessary in order to take that next step. You will want to obtain your diploma to show colleges or future employers, or simply obtain your scores so you'll know what areas to focus on next time you take the test.

  1. Obtaining Your GED Test Results

      Go to acenet.edu, the website of the American Council on Education and official GED website, if you took the test while in the military or while incarcerated.

      Click on "Programs and Services." Then click "Transcript Services."

      Click "Transcript Request Form."

      Fill out the form. Print it and mail it to: GED Testing Service, 1 Dupont Circle, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20036-1193. Be sure to include $14 per transcript request.

      Fax the form to (202) 296-8404, if paying by money order.

      Go to http://www.acenet.edu/resources/GED/center_locator.cfm if you took the test as a civilian.

      Enter in your ZIP code to get the nearest testing center. Always call to confirm hours before showing up.

      Call or visit the center and ask for your results. Alternatively, you can mail in your request using the same form as the military personnel or incarcerated test takers.
