List all of your references, including the ones with duplicate authors, on your Reference List. Pay close attention to the APA style guide as you cite to ensure your listings are accurate.
Alphabetize your list by author name.
Look at the publication date for your citations with the same author. When the author or authors are the same, list the citation by publication year, beginning with the earliest date.
Refer to the article titles only if both citations were written in the same year. In that case, the listings should be placed alphabetically according to title. In addition, add an "a" and "b" to the year in the citation and refer to them with the appropriate letter in your paper. For example, if both of your articles were written by Karter and published in 1980, you would write, "According to Karter(1980a) ..." when referring to the first listing.
