Lebanon Valley College is a liberal arts college that offers a professionally based bachelor's degree in music recording technology. The curriculum has three areas of focus--general education, music and recording technology. Lebanon Valley's philosophy is that while students might want to become audio engineers now, life can provide unexpected twists and turns. A solid general education background can help students better navigate the world. Students must be trained in music in order to be accepted to the program because it requires a solid understanding of music theory. Over the course of the four-year program, students will learn the fundamentals of analog and digital recording systems, and they will get an extensive amount of hands-on experience in the campus' three major studios.
