The Pennsylvania College of Technology is a division of the School of Hospitality located at Penn State University. Pastry Arts majors prepare for pastry creation careers in the hospitality industry. Students who successfully complete their major can expect to find pastry positions in restaurants, hotels and resorts. These positions include baker, pastry cook, assistant pastry chef, baker's helper and bakery manager. Upon completion students will obtain a certified pastry culinarian degree. There is a low student-to-teacher ratio so classes and lab sizes will be small.
