Established in 2002, the program has campus locations in Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida. Students have the opportunity to pursue supervised internships, work in local courthouses and speak with counselors regarding job placement upon graduation. The program features new classes every two months, and both day and evening classes are available to all students. Financial aid is available for qualifying applicants.

    Brown College of Court Reporting

    • Students who wish to study stenography can attend Brown College of Court Reporting, located in Atlanta, Georgia. Established in 1972, this program allows students to earn an associate degree in two years. Students enrolled in this program work hands-on in local courthouses, and courses emphasize proper spelling, grammar and shorthand. Students also study legal, medical and technical terms, and are given training on the latest computer technology.

    • Miami Dade College offers a four-year associate degree program in court reporting and stenography. This program is part of the Miami Dade College North Campus School of Business. The program enables students to work hands-on in local courtrooms, reporting agencies and area law firms. In addition, students study the judicial process in the classroom and develop strong listening skills, along with the ability to type quickly and accurately. Financial aid is available to students who qualify. The school has an estimated student population of 57,000 students.
