The Illinois Institute of Art---Chicago offers bachelor of fine arts degrees in fashion design, visual communications, game art and design, audio production, media arts and animation, digital filmmaking and video production, interior design and digital photography. It also offers a bachelor of applied science in culinary management, along with an associate of applied science degree in fashion merchandising and a certificate program in professional baking and pastry. The digital photography program teaches students topics in photojournalism, business skills and lighting. It also gives them an opportunity to use the kind of equipment they would be using in the workforce of the industry. The audio production program teaches students how to record correctly and mix and edit audio, and offers courses in recording techniques. Graduates of this program will have the skills to get audio engineering jobs.

Everest College offers degrees in massage therapy, medical assisting, dental assisting and medical insurance billing and coding. The massage therapy program trains students in a lot of methods including deep tissue massage, Eastern theory massage and Western theory massage. The medical insurance billing and coding program teaches students about claims processing and diagnostic coding. The dental assisting program trains students to use equipment such as oxygen tanks, X-ray units and dental chairs. The medical assisting program offers hands-on courses that cover topics such as patient care, laboratory procedures, cardiopulmonary procedures and clinical assisting.

Westwood College was founded in Colorado in the 1950s. Since that time, it has introduced 17 campuses in the states of California, Illinois, Colorado, Georgia, Texas and Virginia, as well as an online campus. As a technical school, its mission is to train students to develop skills in the field of employment that they wish to enter. Westwood offers degrees in game software development and five types of information technology, including animation, drafting, interior design and web design.
