Chattanooga College offers diplomas in several fields, including medical assistant, dental assistant, medical office technology, office technology and computer networking. The teachers or trainers at Chattanooga College all hold at least an associate degree and have five years experience in the technical field they teach. Applicants must either hold a high school degree of a GED and must complete a personal interview. Tuition is affordable, and Chattanooga College accepts the GI bill for qualifying veterans.
MedVance Institute, with locations all over the United States, offers affordable diplomas in fields such as cardiovascular technology, medical assistant, pharmacy technician, medical laboratory technology, surgical technology and practical nursing, among others. Many of the programs take about a year. MedVance Institute has campuses in Cookeville and Memphis. Eligible veterans are qualified to attend various programs of study at MedVance.
ITT Technical Institute has campuses in Chattanooga, Johnson City, Knoxville, Cordova and Nashville. ITT Tech is convenient for working students because it offers both online and campus courses in areas such as computer forensics, construction management, nursing and health information technology, among many other fields. ITT tech offers military benefits and has classes available in evenings for students with a job or a family. Many graduating students move quickly on to entry-level jobs in their fields of study.
Vatterott College has a campus in Memphis and offers diploma programs in cosmetology, homeland security, medical assistant, wireless communication, programming and data simulation, and infomation systems security. Vatterott College also offers online courses for students who cannot conveniently attend class on campus. Vatterott has been named a G.I. Jobs military-friendly school.
