Private Tennessee Colleges

There are a number of private colleges and universities in Tennessee, with several small liberal arts colleges and Christian colleges on the list. While private colleges tend to be more expensive to attend than public schools, they usually have a smaller student to faculty ratio, allowing for an informal, personal learning experience. For many students, these schools are a better fit than the large public colleges or universities.
