    • Daymar Institute, originally founded in 1879 as Draughton's Practical Business College, went through many transformations prior to obtaining its current title in 2010. Students pursue an array of associate's and/or degree program options including, but not limited to, accounting and technology, criminal justice, business management and paralegal studies.     Motlow State Community College

    • Motlow State Community College, founded in 1969, is located less than 20 minutes from Murfreesboro, in the town of Smyrna. Students may pursue study within a number of departments, either on campus or through distance learning. High school students seeking college level coursework may also attend Motlow State. The college offers student participation in a number of campus-based associations, including the Student Teachers Association and Tennessee Association of Student Nurses. There is also a Phi Theta Kappa chapter available for eligible students.
