Sonography Education in California Community Colleges

Students who wish to pursue a certificate or degree in sonography from a California community college have choices throughout the state. Community colleges offer certificates in sonography, some in conjunction with associate degree programs. You can complete a certificate program in less than 18 months, an associate degree in about two years. After completing an accredited sonography certificate program, students must take the American Registry exam in order to work as a sonography technician.
