Foothill College has a community college campus known as the Middlefield campus, located at the Cubberley Community Center in Palo Alto. The campus offers free parking, a computer lab, and a variety of day, evening and weekend classes for its 4,000 students. Programs include accounting, computer technology, EMT and fitness. Middlefield also offers the REACH program that teaches students about rehabilitation for post-stroke patients.
Foothill College has a second community college campus in Los Altos Hills, directly south of Palo Alto. Operational since the late 1950s, the campus encompasses 122 acres and has an estimated student body of 18,000. Almost 80 associate degree programs and over 100 certification programs are offered; degree programs include art, business, communications, music and foreign languages.
Cañada College Menlo Park is located on the northern border of East Palo Alto. Cañada College is one of the few community colleges in California to offer a bachelor's degree program in fields such as nursing, business administration, liberal studies, and child and adolescent development. Other courses enable students to obtain teaching credentials in elementary and secondary schools. Also offered is an accelerated executive master's degree in business administration in partnership with San Francisco State University.
Foothill, and Cañada colleges also have campuses in Redwood City, Atherton and Mountain View. Another nearby community college option is Mission College in Santa Clara. All of these colleges have programs that enable students to take courses online.
