Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) is a public two-year college with courses available online or on the campus. In addition, it offers approximately 175 certificate programs that prepare students to move immediately into the workforce. Some certificates include visual arts, wine studies, and criminal justice. If students don't plan to earn a degree, but transfer to a four-year degree, they can. All SRJC credits are transferable.
SRJC even offers a study abroad program. Students are encouraged to enter either the Study Abroad Program or Work Abroad Program. These programs allow SRJC students to live, study, or work in cities like Paris and London for a semester. Students at SRJC earn either an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree. SRJC offers majors in medical assisting, interior design and animal science. Students can obtain more than one degree during their time at SRJC.

Solano Community College has four campuses throughout California. These campuses are located in Vacaville, Fairfield, Vallejo and Travis Air Force Base. Courses are available online, too. Students can major in subjects like health occupations, business, physical education or arts. For instance, the two-year associate's degree in registered nursing, Emergency Medical Technician, or vocational nursing programs gives you the foundation to work immediately in those fields.
The Fire Technology program, under the direction of the Solano County fire protection agencies, provide training and education that leads to a two-year degree. There is also a Green Education Program. The courses provide students with an understanding of water efficient building, solar hot water installation and energy fundamentals. Books and program costs, accord to Salano Community College, are free.

City College of San Francisco (CCSF) has about 50 academic programs and 100 occupational disciplines for students to choose from. They can pursue an associate degree in fashion, engineering, health care, dance or women's studies. Credits from CCSF are easily transferable. If students want to pursue a GED or ESL, they become a noncredit student and take the exams free. However, for high school students, they can apply to CCSF to take summer courses. CCSF has 11 campuses throughout the San Francisco area.
