X-Ray Technician Certificate Programs

X-ray technicians, often called radiology technicians or radiologic technologists, are in high demand, with an expected rate of growth of 17 percent from 2008 to 2018, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Employed in hospitals, doctor's offices and diagnostic imaging centers, technicians work with patients to take X-rays and develop the film used to diagnosis health conditions. While degree or diploma programs are the usual course of study to become an X-ray technician, these institutions offer one- to two-year training certificates.
