The private institution offers associate degree and certificate programs in the healthcare field to nearly 800 students each year. Western Career College offers a diagnostic medical sonography/technician training program that teaches students how to operate the most advanced and up-to-date medical imaging equipment. Yuba College is a 2-year public school located just outside of Sacramento in the neighboring city of Marysville, California. The college offers a radiologic technology degree program for students who are interested in studying x-ray technology and entering the fields of medical imaging, radiography, computerized tomography or diagnostic special procedures. The 2-year program combines classroom lectures with a required internship experience at a participating clinical location. Graduates of the program receive an associate’s degree as well as a certificate of completion and are eligible to apply for certification in the field.
