Located at six campuses in California, San Joaquin Valley College offers students a clinical medical assisting program to prepare them for a career in the health care field. From direct patient care to office training, students prepare for employment in a number of clinical areas. Combining classroom education with laboratory work, students learn hands-on techniques for injection administration, electrocardiograms, skin puncture, CPR and other first-aid techniques, assisting in minor surgery, lab testing, patient education and office procedures. The clinical medical assisting program is available at the Fresno, Modesto, Visalia, Hanford, Hesperia, and Rancho Cucamonga. Online courses are also available.
